Nehru College of Physiotherapy is approved by Government of Tamilnadu and affiliated to Tamilnadu Dr. MGR medical university. This college had been started for providing well qualified physiotherapists in our country. Anatomy Museum
The department trains the students in all branches of Human Anatomy using traditional and innovative methods. The facilities meet all the requirements of undergraduate teaching and learning.Our Anatomy department has charts, bones, Organs, Specimens and Slides, these peculiar features provides all the students to gain more practical sessions which supports the theoretical topics. We provide an efficient coaching using projector and smart class which value the subject topics.
Microbiology lab
Exercise therapy department is one of the important branches of physiotherapy which uses mechanical devices and movements to restore normal musculoskeletal function or to reduce pain caused by diseases or injuries. It also promotes mobility and function. We have a well equipped modern exercise therapy department with all necessary equipments. Students are updated with all modern developments in exercise therapy.
Massage therapy & Manipulation lab
Manipulation and massage are two types of pain management techniques that can help to manage pain. Manipulation involves a therapist using their hands or a small tool to manipulate your muscles and other soft tissues. Manipulations are delivered either manually or instrument-assisted, such as an activator gun and/or drop table assist. This works out more than just the knots and kinks in your muscles—it’s a therapeutic approach to treating your pain.
ORTHOPAEDIC lab
This orthopaedic department is an ideal branch which deals with patients with acute to chronic low back ache, Sciatica, Laminectomy, Micro disektomy, spinal fusion, Cervical spondylosis, Arthritis of all joints, Sports injury, Tendonitis, Post fracture, Inflammation of muscles, ligaments and joints, Post surgery pain and joint stiffness, Total hip/knee/shoulder replacements, Arthroscopy, Work injury, Bio mechanic evaluation, Amputations, Orthosis and Prosthesis fitting and training etc. Education and prevention program are also included.
LASER THERAPY lab
Low level laser therapy (LLLT) is used by some physiotherapists to treat various musculoskeletal conditions. LLLT is a non-invasive light source treatment that generates a single wavelength of light. It emits no heat, sound, or vibration.Laser Therapy is used for the relief of pain, to accelerate healing and decrease inflammation. When the light source is placed against the skin, the photons penetrate several centimeters and get absorbed by the mitochondria, the energy producing part of a cell.
